Now, you are to write a report and then present the report as a speech to your classmates on your hero.

Your report will have four parts:
- an interesting and exciting introduction
- some background information about your hero (i.e. when and where they were born, family life etc)
- a body that will use words to describe your hero and tell what they do to meet these descriptions (explain why this person is a hero to you - i.e. Tell why your hero is brave. Tell why your hero is determined. Tell why your hero is strong. Tell why your hero is respectful)
- a conclusion that will summarize all your important descriptions

You will complete the plan at home. These will be brought home on Friday, November 7th. Please remember to jot down only points and not complete sentences. Your plans must be returned to school by Tuesday, November 11th when you will begin writing the rough draft of your report at school following our writing process.

After your rough draft has been edited (following our writing process - self edit, peer edit, teacher edit), a final, good copy, may be completed at home or school. You will need to practice saying your report many times to make sure you speak loud enough and you use lots of expression

The report on your Hero will be given on Friday, December 5th, 2003^th.
